Our founders, Camille and Jérôme, brother and sister, grew up in Brittany, surrounded by inspiring nature and a centuries-old family tradition of furniture making.
Hailing from three generations of artisans, they founded DE KERCOET with the desire to promote the French art of living: robust and elegant furniture, designed around the culinary world and the epicurean spirit.
Today, their creations appeal as much to discerning private clients as they do to the finest hotels, restaurants, and decorators all around the world.
THE HERITAGE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
Three generations of passed-down craftsmanship. Techniques that the industry has abandoned and that we continue to practice—because no machine can replace the precision of a hand-fitted joint.
Our drawers are assembled with dovetail joints. Our structures are joined with mortise and tenon. Our end-grain wood surfaces are carved from solid hornbeam. These are not sales pitches—this is our method.

FROM VISION... TO REALITY
The design
Every piece of furniture begins with a sketch. Proportions, ergonomics, hardware—everything is defined before the first wood shaving falls. Whether a standard edition or bespoke, the rigor remains the same.
The material
European beech and oak for the structures. Hornbeam for end-grain wood. Walnut for exceptional pieces. Marble, granite, brushed brass, stainless steel—each material is chosen for its durability, not for its immediate effect.
The finish
Each piece of furniture is adjusted, sanded, and fitted by hand. Then it is packed in a dedicated protective crate. What leaves our workshop is ready to be used from day one.
