SAUZON draws inspiration from the quiet authority of early 20th-century iceboxes—commercial furniture pieces whose proportions were dictated by the weight of ice blocks and the discipline of daily preservation. Translated into a kitchen island, this heritage yields a silhouette that is both familiar and imposing: generous enough to anchor a family kitchen, composed enough to take center stage in a professional space.

Six soft-close drawers and two double-sided cupboards with fixed central shelves offer storage that is both ample and precisely organized. Accessible from both sides, the island functions just as naturally in the center of a room as it does against a wall—a versatile centerpiece for cookware, linens, utensils, or a carefully curated tableware collection. The countertop is available in solid hornbeam end-grain for a traditional butcher block surface or Compaq Surface UNIQUE CALACATTA quartz for luminous freshness.

The structure is crafted from solid and veneered oak, finished in Blond Oak C15, in one of the De Kercoet lacquer colors, or customized to your color upon request, with the top trim finished in Blond Oak C15. Hardware is offered in brass and steel in SAUZON’s distinctive mixed-metal aesthetic—cast aluminum, zinc alloy, and chrome-plated brass that recall the functional elegance of hardware from the past.
