Description

CANCALE takes its name from a Breton port where cooking is a daily act — direct, without ornamentation. The Kitchen Island is the centerpiece of the collection: compact volumes, direct silhouettes, and a mixed work surface that celebrates the beauty of the essential.

The signature surface pairs a removable end-grain hornbeam cutting board — featuring side grooves for easy lifting — with a slab of white marble or black granite. This dual arrangement allows for fluid transitions between preparation and presentation, chopping and plating, in one uninterrupted gesture.

Four soft-close drawers — two on each side — offer discreet and precise storage. The structure is built from solid beech wood and oak veneer upon request. A Vieux Bois C02 trim crowns the piece; the body is available in a selection of De Kercoet lacquer colors or customized to your color upon request. Brushed brass or chrome-plated stainless steel hardware adds a discreet punctuation.

Optional casters allow the island to move wherever the moment demands — from the kitchen to the terrace, from preparation to service. An optional towel bar completes the piece. Designed for kitchens with character, CANCALE favors balanced volumes and intuitive ergonomics, serving the gestures of daily life.
