HOËDIC draws on the memory of 19th-century commercial furniture—those massive, precise workshop pieces built to outlive those who commissioned them. The Îlot Billot Grand is the most complete expression of this heritage: a piece conceived as a living object, as comfortable in a private kitchen as in a professional establishment.

The generous worktop combines end-grain hornbeam blocks with white marble or black granite—a pairing that serves both beauty and function. The end-grain wood absorbs knife strikes without yielding; the stone provides a cool, hygienic surface for pastry and prep work. Beneath, five double-sided drawers on wooden runners and two cupboards with a central shelf offer perfect access from both sides of the island.

Constructed from solid and veneered European oak, the frame is assembled with mortise-and-tenon joints. Brushed brass or chrome-plated stainless steel hardware punctuates each drawer and door with understated authority. The frame is finished in Blonde Oak C15; the body of the cabinet is available in a selection of De Kercoet lacquer colors or customized to your color upon request.
